tick.. tock.. tick.. tock..

Our newest star of the house is still dwelling in mummy's tummy. This stream of anticipation keeps on getting me on the edge. "Is today the day? Will it be tomorrow? What if it happens tonight? Where did i put my phone? Have I packed the baby stuff? Will the taxi come quickly? Will the taxi driver panic? Can I leave my work behind? What if somebody really needs me at office?................", these are just some of the things going through my mind right now.

Good thing there's Survivor finale going on, it helps me to keep both my focus and my cool. I was actually thinking of writing something about CFA related stuff. Perhaps, I might use this blog to express my thought process when studying the level 1 & 2 curriculum, to share the things that I didn't understand at first and how I finally managed to put the pieces together (at least for level 1). But this would make my blog quite boring so maybe next time.

An update for ex-Agasi (Anak Gaul Singapura) out there: our group has just gone bigger. We have a lot of new faces and we have a new activity called "Board Game Night". I don't wanna brag about it. You guys just have to visit us or come back and live here to find out =P..... Sorry guys, but my wife really misses you all and hopes that you all will be back here someday.

Do say your prayers for my wife and here's a piece of John Mayer's song that has been her favorite since long time ago:
"So fathers be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers, who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughter too"

after the finish line

Yup, I did it. It was tough but the thought of my wife laughing at me for not making it to the finish line kept me going. According to my nike+, I finished in 1:38:40. Not something that I could be proud of but at least I got a medal for completing the run.

My feet were in so much pain when I reached my house. I immediately soaked them in salted hot water. "It's a recipe from a magazine", my mum-in-law said. Afterwards, I let my wife do some massaging with her amazingly strong fingers. Took a small nap and had my lunch.

I hope my buddies are doing okay in the exam. They should be almost done by now. If you're reading this blog, we should totally gather up some time this week!

Anyway, the amazing Mike Stern and Dave Weckl are scheduled to play in next year's Mosaic Music Festival. Jazz lovers around, this is an event not to be missed. Ticket sale's on from this Thursday. More details on www.mosaicmusicfestival.com

The Big Sunday

5 more days to Standard Chartered Marathon and it will be my first ever running event. My team is going to do the 10-K run and I plan to do the same. I said "plan" 'cause I don't think that I am able to do so.

I started doing short runs since 2 months back. Until now my runs are... still short :( I can't seem to break through the 5-K barrier. I even bought a pair of Nike running shoes and Nike plus to track my runs but they only managed to give me motivation to run at the time when I brought them home from the store... *sigh. I can't back out now so I guess I will need to suck it up and just try to do the best I can.

They say you could dedicate your run. Well, I have decided to dedicate my run to 4 of my buddies who would need to tackle the "marathon" of difficult questions this Sunday as well. They are Bachol, Puger, Juanda and Enry and they are going to sit for the CFA Level 1 examination. Good luck guys and may the force be with you!
